FAQ

Honest answers to fair questions.

Is this legal?

Yes. Colorado's Natural Medicine Health Act created a regulated program for psilocybin facilitation. Journeys happen at licensed healing centers with trained facilitators, after screening and preparation. Working with me means working inside that program.

Do I need experience with psychedelics?

No. Many of my clients are first-timers, and some are nervous about taking this step. That is exactly what preparation is for. My job is to make sure you feel safe enough to do this work, and we do not move forward until you do.

Do I need to stop taking my antidepressants before a psilocybin journey?

If you are stable on most antidepressant medications, I generally do not believe reducing or tapering off your medication, and risking a return of symptoms, is the best approach. Instead, I account for the blunting effect that some antidepressants can have on the psychedelic experience and tailor the process accordingly. Every decision is made collaboratively, with your safety and well-being as the priority.

Where do sessions happen?

Administration sessions happen at a licensed Colorado healing center. I currently work with centers in Lone Tree and Boulder, and we choose together based on fit. Preparation and integration sessions happen virtually for now.

What does it cost?

The screening consultation is free. Preparation and integration sessions are $180 for 60 minutes or $225 for 90 minutes. The administration session is $1,250 for a six-to-eight-hour journey, including one integration session, plus the healing center's own cost. Package rates and reduced group rates are available.

Do you take insurance?

Sessions are private pay. Insurance does not currently cover psilocybin facilitation. That said, I do not believe anyone should go without services for financial reasons, and I will do my best to work with your situation.

How do I know if this is right for me?

Start with the honest fit check on the Is this for me? page, which covers who this work serves and the health conditions it cannot be used with. Beyond that, you do not have to know. That is what the free consultation is for, and I will tell you honestly. If it is not a fit, I will say so.
